Class descriptions:

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu:

This is our core class and what The Garage is all about. The class is presently designed for students of all levels. It is in this class you will be able to improve your skills most efficiently and significantly with our teaching and training methods. Each class is structured to give you the most time possible of live rolling experience. We will train specific aspects of grappling through specially designed tasks that students must achieve as many times as possible in each round. These are essentially fun yet intense “games” that allow you to learn and get extremely good at the most important aspects of grappling very quickly. Throughout this class, we will also teach students how to become great training partners in order to maximize everyone’s results.

Please come along and enjoy this class while experiencing amazing improvements in your game!

In this class you will develop a wide variety of skills in the arts of boxing and Muay Thai. You will improve your footwork, understand how to punch, elbow, kick, and knee a standing opponent, and learn how these skills can be utilized in various situations. In the course of training, you will engage in both individual and partner drills. However, there is no need to be worried about getting hit and injured, as these partner drills will not involve full contact sparring. This class is a great way to supplement your No-Gi Jiu Jitsu training, or simply to get a great workout!

Open Mat:

This is playtime! Come and enjoy high intensity rounds or playful light rolls; begin on your feet with takedowns or never stand up once; only drill no-gi Jiu Jitsu for a few minutes or put on your gi and train for hours. The choice is yours and as long as your having fun, we’re happy! We will make our best effort to roll with everyone at least once during this class.
